Is it doing it when the truck is off? And also, do you think the 2400 will run on nimh well enough or should I finally go lipo?

I can't tell when the truck is off since it a 4-pole
    I think I'll buy a 54t spur today

    Go lipo
    A 7 cell is like a 2s lipo
This thing really needs a 3s
Plus your battery's will get hot!

I was thinking maybe the drag brake may have been set without you realizing, I would just double check through castle link. I guess I have to mow more lawns and get more money then...

Yeah that's the first thing I checked was the drag brake!
had the same thought as you

I'm gonna check the bearing in the motor mount
    Might be the problem

    For your battery dilemma
Idk if you have a lipo charger yet but if you dont at least pick up an Onyx
For batterys I can only reccomend venom
    Had no problems yet
Just switch the connectors to real traxxas connectors

My friend had part 6893 melt over the bearing and motor mount so I would check and make sure that is still in one piece.

Lol i have done that as well. Check that bearing. My truck did the same thing and i checked that bearing and the bearing had a real grittiness feeling and then all of a sudden it just locked up while i was spinning it on my finger so then i knew that was the problem.

    Or...
    Rpm upgrades
    Strc upgrades
    Shocks
New rims & tires (no beadlocks)

    Or..

    Well...
I do I guess like there not too bad...
I have 2 stock traxxas body's, one lost the fender so I cut it up a tiny bit more and made it for speed runs
One is over two years old.. Shoo goo barely helps in the current condition
Lastly, last summer I painted up a Proline pro2 Chevy body, has about 10 cracks but not major
All then paint chipped and I painted over it so it looks really bad

I'm just thinking a nice shelfer,
All our other trucks have one
My digger has a 30th anniversary shelfer
My dad has a body that I painted up for him
But neither of my slashes have a nice one

If you have a stock of paint already do it, if not don't spend the money on getting paint. If it was my truck I would get the VG racing chassis brace, GTR's, STRC upgrades, and s1 compound stockers off of ebay.

I sorta do but I don't rink I want to do it..
I have Pactra paints and want to switch to tamiya as they spray finer

I don't think I need the vg chassis brace, as I don't jump my truck
The s1 tires aren't on my list of must haves, as I don't like the stock tires wear at all on pavement
I might just get more streetfighters and then a set of badlands

What strc upgrades would you buy?

Front steering knuckles, front c-hubs, rear hub carriers, and steering bellcrank set (plus F+R shock towers if running axis rc body brace) in gun metal. Honestly I would go with the chassis brace because even if you aren't jumping, you never know what you will hit.

Okay so.. This is a bit of a rant I guess

So this morning I went to my LHS
Bought me some 2.8 trenchers for my stampede
The fronts turned out to be for a nitro jato so I could only run the rears
I thought it was weird as my LHS doesn't stock nitro models
Gonna email them tonight to see if I can exchange them
Not upset about that, doesn't even matter with my slash 4x4..

So I tryed me trenchers on my pede
    Was real happy with traction
    Broke a yoke on 3s (cc3800)
So then I decided lets throw these new tires on my slash 4x4
Put em on the rear and man did my truck go..
Got it to wheelie for the first time and was pretty darn happy
Went through 6 output yokes though
Then I jumped it a little bit
Like maybe 1-2ft in the air nothing big

So here's what I'm flustered about
So I jumped it, and landed then my venom 3s lipo is hanging out the back!
Now there's a few dents in it and I'm not even sure if it's good anymore
Then I take of my body, the chassis is cracked at the nerf bar and the center shaft is bent!
I was barely even running hard!
IMO the traxxas lcg has a poor battery compartment design, it needs to be like the original slashes battery compartment

So all in all if my battery's looking to be no good, I've just lost 100$ and my chassis will need replacement soon witch will be an strc lcg chassis and then I need a tekno big bone driveshaft
It's just mostly the battery Im frustrated about, it shouldn't have came out so easily
I'm not even in highschool yet, and money needs to be saved at my age and I don't like seeing things happen when they shouldn't.

Instead of using the hold-down strap for the chassis, why not try Velcro straps that can go around/through holes in the chassis?

I've only had my LCG slash for a couple of weeks but I already ordered the Tekno big bone because of the jumping. My biggest gripe with the truck is the steering servo bending on bad landings. I'm leaning towards getting the STRC replacements. What do you all think?
