No its no. Check getting Outerwears.
Or you could plasti dip if you don't like the outwears cover for something more permanent...post #16...doing this will void your warranty.

Here's mine all outer wears upped I have all three just for extra insurance this winter

You could just get an sc8 waterproof esc to run in the winter weather, it is waterproof. You would be limited to 4s, but in snow I don't think that would be an issue.

Yeah I heard good things bout the waterproof sc8. Seems like the best winter solution. You couldn't run 6s in the snow anyways.

waterproof ESC but it's not cheap,

Would you go flip my truck back over??
NOT WATERPROOF! Not even a little bit. Jeremy from RCNightmare said, "Water even looks at this thing, and it's probley going to fry out." You could do what The Jang did and make a plasti-dipped Lexan case for it...
Only 70 MPH? MORE LIPO!!!!
or get the HPI FLux esc (same mamba, but waterproofed) that's what I run.

How do outerwears not void the warranty? You are impeding airflow to the esc and motor.
What about wax dipping has anyone done that? Silicone to seal it all up?
edit- what about running a vxl esc with a bigger two pole motor like a leopard or something that doesnt draw too much power but still can get the truck moving alright.

If you really want it waterproof swap out a brushed system with the standard Traxxas ESC.
You can waterproof the ESC by using a coating (a proper PCB conformal coating would be my recommendation, 300F should be the target temp for the rating) if you want to keep the Castle Creations ESC in use. The motor doesn't really care about water as long as you don't rust the bearings.
Quick question. Is it safe to ride the e revo mamba monster max with outerwears in the snow??
You will have to protect the esc. Everything else should be fine.
Yeah but would the outerwear be enough? Or should i buy the esc and motor outerwear too? Or use plastidip (wich im not a big fan of)
I ran mine last winter with just the shroud and only minimal drops got in under the front by the shocks. I just have all three casue im paranoid about water getting to my rx8 i just like the extra insurance

So i guess the safets IS dumping the ESC in plastidip? Is the mamba monster MOTOR waterproof? The ESC is the onlyone thats afraid of water right?
Yip, that's right...I don't submerge my truck in water; it often gets used on wet grass and through the occasional puddle and muddy conditions. Plastidip will permanently waterproof your ESC...it will also void your warranty.

Yeaah but i guess if i manage to break my esc, that it would fall out of the warranty, because if it would brake after this time, It would brake because of how I have handled my truggy:P Hmm, tough choice

i saw before that someone was running a vxl6s in their erevo. so that might be an option.
sppppaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccceeeeeeeeee!!!!!
I'd put a little marine grease around the bearings too.
well you dont need to use the spartan motor just the esc.

last year it snowed pretty bad over here, i got the outerwears shroud and had no issues, i also only ran 6s, don't see the problem, 6s on snow was insane! not fully useable i admit but when you do bury the throttle the revo turns into a snow blower!! wicked fun i highly recommend it
if you're not fast, you're last.
Kev, You only had the body shroud on? No problems? Guess I'll stick with my body shroud then. (running 4s)
