    Double A's E-SLAYER Build!!!!

    This is just the beginning

Got the E-revo in the mail today lets just say it didnt take long to blow it apart to get ready for the slayer transformation! Selling the parts to fund the other need parts so if anyone needs these parts they will be in the market place this weekend.

Hopefully will order some parts this weekend for the truck or im ordering the slayer pro (i have gold codes from towerhobbies) then parting that out and keeping the parts i want. ANother thought was to buy the slayer and throw the revo parts on it and sell it as a revo ready to go

Let me know what you guys think and suggestions on parts! from those that have built one of these before

I used all stock Slayer Pro4x4 Parts on mine. Have yet to break anything. The only thing not traxxas on mine is the Single aluminum steering arm, Wheels/tires/hubs, and the SC8 body. The rest is all SlayerPro/ERBE stock.

Cool build, Keep us updated. An E-Slayer will be my next build aswell. And i would just buy the parts that you need for the Slayer. I would not buy another whole kit just for the parts.

Thanks guys I can't wait to get this up and running. As of right now I have my eyes on parts on eBay just need arms shafts rods to complete ,semi roller form. I think I'm going with the tekin rx8 system for this one also love the one in my Erbe. Still undecided on the tires right now.

Nice, I just ordered a load of Rit dye, Yellow for summit, Blue for Emaxx, Black for erevo, slash 4x4, and Red for slash 2wd

Lots of chassis to dye, and I may doo the remaining grey parts in black if my pot os big enough, just chuck it all in there.

Where can you buy rit dye? Is there a specific dye you need for the parts?

only 2 types, power and liquid. They both work great.

Unless you are trying to class run it under rules, i would recommend running 1/8 buggy wheels on it.
On mine if i run SC wheels and tires i get body rub like mad, buggy wheels body rub is non existent.

And this is on the SC8 shell which "should" be a bit bigger than the SC shells for the Slayer/Slash4x4 (i think)

I just bash mine around, not racing it so i just keep the buggy wheels on there and giver.

I have a set of Badlands on DE Racing Trinidad 17mm SC rim, and a set of Trenchers on the DE rims.
Both awesome tires very decent wear on road and amazing off road, but like i mentioned the rub on landings and high speed stuff (although i didnt tape them) but the landing rubs are enough for me to not be a fan.

I run JConcepts DoubleCross and AKA Crossbraces on the buggy rims and they both rock.

That is awesome! I might slowly build one of the winter I bet its way better than the slash, I think mine is going up for sale. I wonder how a 3200kv 1/10 sc motor would work, with the truck being lower and smaller tires it should rip good, use it on 4s

Cameron is it only body rub you get when running SC wheels? I have a lot of of wheels from slash and i would like to keep my sand tires.

The only rubbing i have noticed is while running SC tires. then again i am running 2 of the "larger" profile SC tires. The problem may go away once you step down to the race style SC treads. i think they are a bit shorter because of the smaller tread depth.

We now have a roller just running stock slayer tires and body for now
Going to paint the body this weekend. I have a vinyl cutter and material for paint mask so I have to work up a design here this week. Otherwise I plan on ordering outer wears and tekin rx8 next

Is the slayer body the same size as a slash? I added up the prices and I can have a roller for $275 i'd rob body, wheels, and electronics from my slash 4x4.

If you look up at the body in one of the first pics that's for a slash its a flo tek i believe and it would fit if you don't run the bumpers

I have all three on my Erbe right now so I might just rob the shroud from that for now otherwise the shroud for sure so they both have one

Sorry thought it was about the outer wears but I'm probably going to go with a red and black theme along with a few clear places on the body

How big a pot do you need? Your pot already has five chassis in it.

Throw some grey Traxxas tools in there too.
