    New to Rally

Hey guys! I just got a Rally VXL from a friend and the thing will not go straight when I hit the throttle. It spins out every time. What do you think the problem is? Too much power? Not enough traction? I was thinking I may need to tear it down and clean everything up but I wanted to see if there was an easy fix. I should mention I am running the dual batteries when this problem happens. Thanks!

Dual in parallel or in series?
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

    With that much power...
    Tuning is key!

Playing with shock oil, shock springs, differential oil, tires, toe, camber... all of that can make it hug better.

Thanks! Do you have any suggestions for a starting point? Should I gear up so I have less power and more speed?

DITTO! Also try adding a center diff if it doesn't already have one. It made a world of difference in mine!
I'll try anything once, maybe twice!

I inspected everything closer and found that the body was rubbing on the tires under heavy acceleration. I raised the body and that helped a lot. I'm gonna inspect the differentials this weekend but just raising the body made a night and day difference.

I looked at raising the body on my KB Rally, but the body posts on the front were already as high as they would go and it still rubs.

I had to raise mine too!! dsanders you can get some Parma Foam Body Protectors (PAR8054) or Traxxas foam body washers (4915) and see if that helps you. The Parma ones are thicker.

Thanks Mr. Bill, I'll have to try that out. Mine won't go straight under acceleration either, but I figured it had something to do with the tires on the KB.

Yep yep dsanders, my Kawasaki edition came with "slicks" and it was really difficult to run straight under hard throttle!!! These work really well.....
