    bearing help

I am in a little bit of a pickle. I am starting to race tommorrow and and need to clean all my bearings and cannot get to a hobby shop and was thinking about going to the local auto parts store to get some kind of cleaner and lube any suggestions on what would work?

Non chlorinated brake clean. Don't use a heavy grease in the bearings as the motor will fight to turn the bearings rather than put power too the wheels (found out the hard way). I use avid slide for all my bearings as for in a pickle you might try white lithium. you can get it at the parts store and it is somewhat light.

Brake clean or I find a soaking in WD40 works well too and is my preferred method. I put them in a sealed jar and let them soak a bit the rattle them around in the jar a bit and them come out squeaky clean but not all the oil stripped out. A light oil to lube after cleaning them, like 3 in 1.

After cleaning mine I started to use DuPont 4 oz Silicone Lubricant. Its great at repelling water and dirt and is working better than the 3 in 1. I'm also using sin bearing lube too!
