    Tires worn down, replacement suggestion?

My stock rear tires are worn down smooth now. I don't do racing and I like a lot of traction for dirt paths. Replacement suggestion?

Pro Line Switchs, if you can find them. Great on pavment, and dirt. If you want a pavment tire, then Pro Line Street Fighters are great. Basicly, if it says Pro Line on it, it's a good tire.

I have found trenchers to be great all round tyres, pretty good on most surfaces but brilliant on non. Pro line and are great tyres as wolfslash16 says. This thread over at URC is worth a read http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92763

I have been using badlands, I love them. I havent used the trenchers to compare.
They wear quick on-road and they dont have much traction on hard packed/clay tracks
They work great for dirt, grass bashing. wheelies on 2s

For the trenchers I assume it takes medium size http://prolineracing.com/tires/trenc...-medium-tires/

Anyone using larger tires than that with stock body cover or would they rub the plastic.

The 2.8 Trenchers would look great on the Slash if you want a MT look. Otherwise, better go for the SC tires. Here is a pic of them on my Pede.

First pic, compared with the stock TRX SC tires.

Proline makes a SC size 2.2/3.0 trencher tire but I haven't seen it. The 2.8's pictured are about perfect for the Pede or Slash.

A taller tire will gear up your truck and give you a higher top speed, but introduce more heat to the motor. I like a taller tire on the slash like 1/8 buggy tires.

What offset rims should be used with the slash? I would rather use just fronts or just rears. My truck needs more rubber on the ground.

    Wider tires = more grip.
Taller tires = taller (higher) gearing and usually look better.

Does pinion need to change with bigger tires?

Which rim should be used to get about the same alignment front to back? Rears or fronts? I want to rotate my tires.

Sometimes yes. Your temps can get higher from extra speed and torque required to turn the bigger tire, so a smaller pinion can return your gearing to stock.

Do you mean the same width front and rear? You'll need two fronts and two rears. You can use 4 front wheels but the rear will be a little wider.

That is exactly what I wanted to know. If I get 2.8's, I will get all fronts. How are the trenchers with high power and speed? do they balloon a lot at say.... 50?

They start ballooning about 50mph unless you tape them. I'll post a pic of my Pede later with 4 fronts and you can see the difference in width.
