    Nice! Lucky litte girl!

I want to build one for my 15 yr old sister, she has wanted one since she drove mine. I want to do a black/purple theme with the bug body (she loves beetles)

Soon I will HAVE to build one for my little girl though, she is soon to be 3 and LOVES them, it puts a huge grin on my face how happy she gets just watching them race at our local meet...and her laugh is priceless when they wreck!

Props 50, I see it all comes together quite nicely. Keep these pics coming.

What's that black motor, currently not mounted? The HK 4350KV?

That was got2gorc 5200kv .I was going to put that in but my daughter said -now we can race! So I put the 6000 in there

here is the planned parts -Rpm arms and carriers (remember laying around) and bumpers.
titanium pushrods, aluminum hr trans case and motor mount, strc motor plate, aluminum skid plates
,sway bars, 390 servo, hpi web wheels, dirt hawgs
,stock shocks 80wt oil with badhorsie socks and 6000kv combo.
most from extra parts i had laying around

Great build! Did you put foam in between the bumper and the bumper mount? If so that's a great idea.

Yes! Its the hard foam that comes with the Traxxas packaging. Takes some of the impact. I also made a bracket to strengthen up the body mount

Who makes those sway bars you're using? Do they help a lot with the Mervs little flipping problem?

They are hr .they help pretty good but I think wide offset rims like hpi 2160 or 2196 help more. But you can run both! http://www.toadzrc.com/sway-bar-kit-...evo-slash.html.
They mount over the stock mounts

Thanks 50. Can you install those over your existing shock mounts? Or are the ones in the package totally new mounts?

Good move! Great mod right there with those HR aluminum bodies. Did mine a few weeks ago and the shocks are still full! I'm sure you already know to use the Traxxas blue orings, Traxxas black spacer and a HR black o ring!

i would do a build for my dad, but i cant really build anything from the ground up piece by piece- i can do small mods, but nothing as major as this..... i got him in the hobby by letting him drive my 4x4 slash

Dumb question.... I have been away from the forum from a wile. What are the things that are connected to the rockers to the shock towers?

They come as a set for front and back - I have them on one of my Mervs and they work good. I can't say they're better than stiff springs and thick shock oil, but they ARE cool

the motor is got2go's old 5200kv with the esc from the 6000kv combo. i just wanted to try it out. first time i raced my friend against his stock motor i thought he shut off because i pulled away so fast.power wise the 6000kv is pretty fast but you do need to gear properly .the kit is not designed to compete with a neu but can't beat it for the price. i have ran 50 on a 2s and over 60 easy on 3s but the neu stays cool even with summit tires and 27/45 gearing.

i took the rear sway bar off because where the motor wires come out gets in the way of the sway bar
