Just checked it out. There is a lip on the bracket under the motor and it is very snug. Motor isn't going to budge

Does the shock mount need to be grinder to fit the Neu motors?

Looking forward on your results when you get ur lil gizmo in
I think the shock mount is fine if you don't mind having a bit of a rub
It is metal to metal, so I guess even a cardboard in between will help with the vibrations til the next time you you do a gear change

If I was to put anything in between I would have to do some more dremal work .it is that close!

I ended up pulling it apart and doing more grinding . Now there is more clearance and I took a chunk of hard plastic and made a bump stop to fit snug. A drop of superglue then a dab of silicone to hold it in place. Much better now!

Looks like the eagle tree elogger will be delivered this morning!
Now if only the roads would dry up!

Here it is! Looks like fun.

I ordered some taller 3.87" foam tires.
Now I can keep 33/45 to bash off road and on 2s run 40+ with dirt hawgs and with the taller foams with the same gearing on 3s run over 60 and can't wait to find out how fast running 4 cell!

Just came back from a 2 cell speed run. I was expecting around a 40mph run with the gearing and low kv motor.
ran a 48mph guess the old dirt hawgs need a new tape job!
    32663 rpm 51.81 amps and 391 watts

    Who needs 4 cell!

When are you going to try some 4s speed runs, I thought you would have done some by now.

my back/neck has been worse than ever and now waiting on the taller foams. problem with a 70+ mph run is you need a nice long road and at least two people in case you crash .it would take forever to get to it .where i run them is good for 65 max with a dip at the end and a bend in the road where cars could come with no notice! i am searching for a better road but don't want to travel and hour to get there

Less friction and drag on the way.ordered the yellow seal ceramics and those taller 3.87" foams should be in anytime now. Anyone want an update on performance?

full set for the car .
i have read that steve neu doesn't recommend ceramic bearings in the motor because when a ceramic bearing goes bad there is no warning and can damage a motor in seconds. others have ran them i have them in my 1110 .

i emailed castle but they haven't returned my email

You'll have to edit the title to add the 9000kv to the ultimate test.
Looking forward to the results on the 4s run

Ha. Yep! I have been waiting on my new foams so I wouldn't have to change gearing to 37/45 but looks like the company stiffed me. So now waiting for a refund!

4s with a 9000kv, 133k rpm @ 14.8v. I see possible motor carnage in your future. Sucks that your foamies didnt get done, im thinking bout getting a set done. You planning on doing a chart of some sorts with these motors and your eagletree? I think it's bee cool seeing actual numbers, then again I love geeking out on data.

actual under load kv will be much lower than 9000kv and so will the voltage with our small batteries .even with small 3.3" tires and conservative gearing it won't need half that rpm

I have full recordings of the runs but to post them I don't know. Record it on my phone then send it to photobucket

Without the taller foams I will have to gear up which I was trying to avoid. Its a pain removing the rear shocks and brackets for a few speed runs!
