this is the first time i got to try my new set up i've been working on.

14t/54t gearing
integy clutches
spooled rearend
forward only conv.
imex k-rock tires(taped)
cv drivetrain

it ran great made it some spots i didn't think it would go.here is a clip of it in action!

yep link not working. are you running 32 pitch gearing? how did you fit the 54t spur, cause the last time i fitted one only 52t that fit without hitting the chassis, i have like a hair gap.

Those of us that have offered advise regarding nitro crawlers have not stated it cannot be done. Nitro is not practical for crawling due to the stressors placed on the engine and the inability to properly maintain its temperature.

i used the 14t 32 pitch clutch bell and 54t 32 pitch spur gear.i shimed the trans up.took a old antena tube smased it with needle nose pliers and superglued the 2 pieces in between the mounting holes on the trans.glue was just too hold them into place till i tightened it.then i set the mesh.have ran it 2 times both times for about 4 hrs each time with no wear or binding.and i will try to download the video again.

i maintained the perfect temp.of around 270 deg. with use of the traxxas temp gauge.and i ran it a lil rich and could run 2 tanks of fuel before i had too let it cool for a few mins.but i also was not just putting it around it was getting put through the paces.didn't mean too offend anybody.i just wanted to be able to goto the rock pit with all the electric crawers and show'em how i've seen rock crawling done on t.v. wide open with 700-1000hp rigs.those guys get at the bottom of a hill pick a line and hammer it.all that matters is that we all had a blast that day playing follow the leader.and i was the leader.went places that made the guys w/electric scratch their heads.

270 is the max temp for the 3.3, your better off trying to get it to run a little cooler than that. Have you thought about mounting & running a small low voltage cooling fan, maybe 1 similar to a little computer fan or something similar. Plenty of electronic shops around that should have something that would suit.

yes i had an old pc that i took all the fans out of just for that reason.but i've not put it on yet.and i meant that my temp never got above 270.it would get up too bout 250 ish and i'd let it cool for a few mins.
