Novak motor and MMP esc and lipo combo question

Well im going to put a novak 5.5 550 can size and MMP in my slash 4x4 and then get the rally LCG chassis when it comes out.

1. Whats a good size lipo to use for dirt bashing, like driving recklessly in baseball field type of dirt and some pavement geared 19/54, 19/52 and or 19/50.

I currently have (2) 3s venom 5400mah 20c lipos. I want to move up to a higher C rating when i buy my lipos. Im looking at some Gens-Aces because they're cheap. For sure im going to buy 2 cause they are so cheap.

I would go with the Gens Ace packs. Use mine to bash and race, very high quality packs for a great price.

I had that same combination in both of my trucks for a bit. The Venom 3s 5400 works great! SPC 5400 50c will make you a happy man! I recently got one and I am really liking it

4s or go home lol. But seriously I love 4s. I almost never use my 3s anymore.

will this combo run good on 2s? And ill have the chance to run 3s since ill have my venom packs. And ill be able to run 4s if i use the 2 turn!gy together

It will run well at short course speeds of about 30-35mph with the specified gearing. The 5.5 550 is a 3700kV 800 watt motor spec says 3s max and going to 3s you will most likely have to gear it down.

For 3s
800watts/11.1V = 72 amps
x 1.4 = 100 amps peak


5400mAh = 5.4 amps
100 amps peak/5.4 amps = 18.5C max discharge rate at peak.

When I run mine, I either run 17/54 or 17/50. It uas plenty of power with the Venom 11.1v 5400 mah lipos. I believe they are a 40c max burst. The SPC 11.1v 5400mah is a 50c continuous and 100c burst. So that will have plenty odf power to make that motor dance! As with all of my motors, I run a heatsink with a single fan. Just good insurance! You should be happy with this motor combination

so 2s geared 19/54 should be fine, especially with a 65-130c lipo it will give me a jump right?

mabe if i want to go faster, i could go 25/50? on either 2s or 3s
