So, will this create a new class (including all the Slash 4X4 LCG chassis) or not?

Yea a new class for traxxas to kick other 4x4 trucks off the track. Hopefully traxxas will add a lcg SC truck to their porfolio and give us an advantage over losi and AE.

I'm converting my 2x4 Slash to a PL LCG beast for this very reason. Plus, I am tired of hearing, "Just buy a AE or Losi if you want to race."

I heard that once too often. Tomorrow it's race time with my SSC LCG truck. I just hope I can keep up with it!

The SSC and TRCE LCG chassis' are awesomeness!
Takes the truck to an entirely different level whether it be high speed runs or cornering. Puts it on the same playing field with the Losi and AE then its down to driving skill. Stock chassis cant come close to competition with the others as it spends too much time rolled over.

But the ground center clearance of the Slash 4x4 is definitely wrong...it is much less...around
< 45mm to 40mm...depending on the battery weight and shocks position.

I can see, you have copied that from the Traxxas specs page- but it is wrong.

I know that is referring to the center, thats what I measured at my car- is it meant to be measured with the shocks fully expanded??

That is the only way I will get near the 72mm-I wonder if it makes sense though...assuming the clearance of the Rally is very little then...

the body is very tall and the chassis height has nothing to do with overall height

Isn't that height mainly styling? From what I saw the rear shock tower is higher than it needs to be for looks.

i agree ksb51rl. rally is much bigger world wide than it is in the states. for some reason people in the states prefer to watch cars go in circles.

i'm a rally fan it offers the best of all racing worlds and i'm supporting the rally.

We're an easily amused bunch here I can't speak for all, but I love all forms of racing, including Nascar (although it is much less fun than it used to be...too political these days.) I think what makes any form of racing fun is having someone to cheer for, I've never liked any form of racing until I found a favorite driver or team.

Most people I know who have given motorsports a chance have come to love it, even if they once thought it was boring.

Also, for what it's worth, I see what you guys are saying about the height...I'd never considered that before I opened my mouth
