I guess that is the ballpark I expected, would be great to offer it 'bare' for all of us who have plenty of TQ's batteries and chargers to keep the price down initially.....

    Here at Stormer: $399

I would love to see Traxxas offer Add your own electronics pre built Kits or build it yourself kits. Dont see it happening though. Sad really.
Suppose there is a benefit to the chop shops on ebay in that regard. Some of them sell stripped rollers right off the bat.

The closest they could do is the slash 4x4 pro which was is a nice car but they couldn't help but add ALL of the electronics, so you add a Tx/Rx and you don't have a low end nimh battery included. I think it would be nice to see the rally available in a pro and/or ultimate edition like the slash I think the aluminum parts and sway bars included are well worth the extra money.

I agree they need to sell just the truck with no electronics.

My last three traxxas cars were night off eBay as complete rollers.

Got a slash 4x4 never run, complete minus esc, radio, motor and servo for $200 shipped. Kinda hard not to buy at that price.

It would be nice to have the option to get a kit, have fun building it, and drop the electronics of your preference. I don't buy RTR cars, I prefer to get a cheap beaten roller, upgrade it, fix it, and make a nice car with it.
