hey guys what brand of shock for speed bash/speed(70mph+)/an racing?

hey there guys been looking around for some shock's and am woundering what would be best for speed and or racing
so far i could get the tra 8th gtr shocks i have fit them to my pede but thats another story

i always use the stock ultra shocks with big bore shafts, losi springs, and traxxas aluminum caps. fairly cheap upgrade and works very well. cheaper than big bore shocks and much cheaper than proline.

You have listed three different applications, speed runs, bashing, and racing. While you can use any given shock of choice for all three applications you will likely need need different set ups as far as oils and springs and maybe internal limiters for the speed runs.

My recommendation for the shock would be either Big Bores from Traxxas or build your own with STRC aluminum bodies and caps with Traxxas TiNN shafts and internals.

the big bore are half the price if you get them on ebay there only like 40-45 bucks for all four but i would get the one thats were pulled for the slash utl. because they have better shafts already on them

i never thought about the strc build up. but looking at people that have used them. i rilly like how they look

and the gtr shocks i maneged to fit the shocks to the front of what i had put together of the rustler and they fit good but i see the rear shock mounting would be hard to make work. to bad i liked the beefyness look

so i will be going for the strc /traxxas shocks and go from then when i get them

I have them on my Stampede 4x4, they look good, work good, are fairly inexpensive, and use stock Traxxas parts so rebuild parts are easy to find.

oh what about gtr shocks from the xo-1?
5460r? or are they all fixed lenght shock shafts?tyk

other than that i have my mind set on the strc gunmetal bodies with green shock caps and cartlidge holders

I think they would work great, probably will need some weaker springs for them though.
