Does anyone have any experience with the Integy roll cage? I like the look and the idea and it would fit a future build of mine perfectly... but is it actually any good? Anybody have pics of how it mounts or pics on their truck?

it actally worked really well i think el sob uses this cage as well with no body and it bolts to the bumper mounts
I have the New Era roll bar! It's made of steel! I have had it for more than three years and it has been run over by 1 to 1 cars a couple times. Still holds up great!

I was looking at this one.
It looks more like a truck which is what I need.
To the men and women of the US military, thank you
its alittle tough getting that battery out but its a good cage
I was thinking of getting one of those too, and putting panels on it to give my Slash kind of a buggy look. I think there's a thread around here somewhere where someone did that.

I have the new era one as well as my friend that my friend I live by has one too. They do amazing for us, we don't have to run a body when bashing so we dont destroy the body after 5 runs. Definately worth it. The integy one wasn't what we wanted because you would have to take it off everytime you needed to work on it.
Racing in the Past, Present, and Future...MAYBE
I think im gonna go for it. The truck isnt my main rig so i dont think the issues mentioned will be a problem. I was gonna do the panel thing too.

I have one for the T-Maxx. Well built, but they are heavy. I'd guess on a Slash it makes changing the battery pack tougher. I bashed in the desert for a year with the stock body on my Slash 4X4. It's cracked along the rear fender on one side, but still in one piece.

My stock body is holding up pretty well but this cage with some body panels would be sick!
To the men and women of the US military, thank you
I have the Integy roll cages on a Pede and Slash, both 2wd trucks and they've held up pretty well. I think the cages are made for a couple different models because there are a few mounting holes that don't line up. Pics below:

I had that exact roll cage, (full cage integy) It adds a lot of weight and it broke in 2 spots. Its worth it if you can weld it for free, but I regret buying it.
Thanks for the info guys.
To the men and women of the US military, thank you
RC Solutions makes some great cages. I'd stay away from integy muself. Never seen them last.
Thrash It, Bash it, Break it, No Regrets!!!
Yeah... but they are so much more expensive and you can't really put body panels on it for that scale look.
To the men and women of the US military, thank you
I'd buy a Integy cage to put panels on but not for some serious bashing. I'd run the integy cage with panels in sand. There was one I saw with lexan and another with aluminum sheeting taht looked sick. Just don't remember where!

It would be more for looking good. I'd use a beater body if I was jumping. I guess the only way to find out if it would work is to get one myself and try it. NOBODY STEAL MY IDEA but it's going to be used in a zombie assault vehicle build if I end up getting it.
To the men and women of the US military, thank you
When you do get it, please post pics so we can all see what you have done to your truck! I enjoy seeing what other people do to their trucks to personalize them![]()
