My MERV has a completely stripped screw in it, but stripped means that the top of the button head is torn off, and the screw is the one that holds on the body mounts. Don't have pics but it is the one in the front under the cage to hold up the body... HELP!!!!!

Are you talking about the single bolt in the front of the bulkhead? When you take the body mount off is it sticking out at all?

You might try to get to it from the other side. Maybe there is a longer piece sticking out there. Bad thing is that you have to get your bulkhead off.

What I suggest doing (or possessing) is a screw extracting bit. It is a splined bit that extracts screws when you drill into the head. They work extremely well when you have the right size one. Assuming they are similar to the ones I have, it should be long enough to get that out.

That won't work. The screw head is off, and I can't take the mounts off without sawing off part o the mounts...

If its the top right bolt. Remove the left bolt and front bolt and it will come out. The little tab will slide out

To add to jim's comment, it also comes with the rear body mount, and of course extra stock body posts. Well worth to get that and have spares for the rest of the truck.

Edit: Got it off! Used the idea of taking off the othewr 2 screws and it's off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!

If you want to prevent that from happening again get a stainless steel screw kit by rcscrewz. I have it and I haven't stripped a screw since I got it.

I have some of mine stainless but I don't like.how they aren't magnetic
