DVD player is skipping, i could use some advise...

I just bought a bunch of dvds that were brand new. Some from best buy, some from target and walmart. however, my dvd player is starting to skip on some of them and it's becoming a pain. is there anything i can do to fix it? i'm not sure if it's dust or what. it does seem really dusty, but what can i spray in there that is ok? can i use electronics cleaner? or mayber duster?
    any help is greatly appreciated.

    No cleaner!
A duster should work fine, IF that is the problem.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.

It's usually caused by a dirty lense. Really the only way to do it is carefully clean the lense with a lint free cloth, like an eye lass cleaning wipe. Use no pressure on it though, you don't want to scratch the lense or it will skip worse.

Take the player apart and suck out all the dust gently with a vaccum. Than very gently wipe the laser lens with a clorox wipe.
Done this with multiple ps2's that wouldn't read games and it works every time.
