Lipo chargers

Can the onyx 245 charge a lipo and a Ni [ st the same time?! I just saw on amazon it's 112.99, holy deal,I didn't want to spend 100 on a charger but if I sell my ez peak nimh charger I mite buy he 245, can the 235 charge nimh?

Yes it can charge both at the same time. I just bought one for $119.00

You can get twice the charging power for not that much more...
The 10 amp iCharger 106 can be had for about $90... $105 with power supply... $125 with power supply and Traxxas ParaBoard.
The 20 amp iCharger 206 can be had for about $125... $145 with power supply... $165 with power supply and Traxxas ParaBoard.

I have the 206... it can handle a lot!
I can safely charge 4 of my 2S 2200mAh 16th scale Revo packs and 2 of my 7600 packs for my 10th scale Summit in about 30 minutes from storage to full. That is 24,000mAh!

But, it will not handle different chemistries at the same time...

Or you can get a Thunderpower TP610C off ebay for about $120. 10 amps, 90 watt power supply all in one package. I use one as my travel charger and its simply and powerful. I personally dont like the Onyx 245 because each channel is limited in its power output. With a 10 amp charger (of any kind) you can charge your packs one at a time, but twice as fast, or get parallel balance and main splitters and charge 2 packs in parallel. Its easier than you think and the software the Thunderpower and Ichargers use is far better at controlling the charge and balancing your packs than the software in the Onyx chargers.

i think i mite just get the traxxas e-z peak lipo balance charger for 70. i can get that and my spc 6500 mah, 50c, 2s lipo for the same price as that charger, thanks. i'm a little short on money, espicially after my tbone ft bumper, teknos, and parts need to lower body! will get a couple for christmas but i have to buy teknos myself and money doesnt grow on trees for 14 year olds you know

No it doesn't!
For anyone else, for that matter. I planted a pack of pennies years ago; I keep watering them, but they just won't grow!

With that charger, expect about 1 hour charge times from LVC and about 30 minute charge times from storage.

Glad to hear this is a good charger since I just ordered one (new) from Amazon last week for $112. I'm new to the hobby, but took everyone's advice and invested in a decent charger vs going cheap.

About 45 minutes.

But with no storage feature or even the capability of discharging LiPo's, I would not choose that charger.
Lets say you get all charged up and break within the first few minutes of a run. What are you going to do to get the voltage down in the pack?

Lick the connectors... that helps drain the pack.
