Need help with my slash 4x4

Hey guys. My slash 4x4 has a problem.
So about a week ago I brought it out and it wouldnt move and there was a burning smell picked it up and pressed the gas tires moved.

So my problem is it won't move under load. I'm 85% sure it's not the front diff and I've checked the rear twice. Also the burning smell was from the slipper clutch area. I have no idea anymore

    Help Please

Check the plastic bearing adapter between the slipper spring and the spur gear on your slipper assembly. Get the $5.00 aluminum Traxxas piece that replaces the useless plastic junk. You may need one or both of the bearing that this piece contacts depending on how hot it got.

I think your motor is shot. See if the shaft moves when it is on the ground and are giving it gas. If it doesn't the motor is done.

i mean the bearing adapter part 6893 (i think thats the part number) melted
so the bearing adapter in the spur gear area did the problem. it also stuck on the metal spring.

i was just asking if you guys thought my motor got too hot causing this. nothings wrong with my motor

ideally, you need to keep your motor under 180 degrees. what can cause your issue is a bad bearing as a result of the plastic adapter melting. it's better to upgrade the adapter to the aluminum one.

it's impossible to tell. maybe not hot at all. it just depends where the bearing broke down and caused enough friction to melt the adapter.

Save yourself the trouble get a King Headz motor mount and bearing adapter. See ebay for a cheap used KH . It's one of mine, I sold the truck separately.

El Sob I think you were right. Replaced bearing adapter and it still won't run
