Need a little advice from the experts here

    Hello everyone,

I finally finished to install the mmp 2400 combo, 17T pinion and a revo slipper cluch in my stampede 4x4.
Also i have MIP front and rear and a 3s 5000mha battery, so the car is pretty heavy.
I did a test run and man this thing is flying even with the added weight.
    Now to my questions :
1.I saw in the internet that the car can do a full back flip form standing, do i need special tuning to do that?
2.What is the maximum speed with those upgrades?
3.Does the mmp combo can handle the added weight?
4.I thinking to put a rool cage to protect all the electronics, what do you say?
5.Do you know if there's a good shock sleeve for the pro line shocks to protect from the sand and the dirt?
    Thanks for your help.

    1. Might need to tighten down the slipper. Put it on the carpet or grass and punch the throttle. This may cause damage.
    2. Maybe around 40 or so.
    3. Yes. That is a high torque motor.
    4. A roll cage will only add unnecessary weight and a lexan body can protect the electronics just fine.
    5. Any sleeve that is the long enough should work.

Try not to do backflips unless you go off a ramp. your drivetrain will take a kicking if you do to many but if you need to put revo support carriers in your diffs traxxas part 5383x.your electronics will be fine just do your body with drywall tape and shoe goo and you can get shock covers of flea bay

Thank you for your quick response.
And what you recommend for the ESC tuning in the software?

Got you on the shoock sleeve
Do you know maby something that will fit to the pro line shocks?
And how can it be that the maximum speed is only 40?

I was just giving an approximate speed. I don't know your tire size or spur, but 40 should be close. You can check it here:

I remember doing around 60 with my MMP/2400 on untaped Trenchers with a gearing somewhere around 17/50. The Trenchers balloon quite heavily, which makes the diameter huge. That way you dont need a heavy gearing for idiot speeds.

Not saying that Trenchers are the ideal tires for speed running btw.

To save weight and still have roll bar protection, I took a half inch wide strip of aluminum and bent it to follow the contours between the shock tower mounts and screwed it into the top of each. Has survived many lid landings, lightweight, stiffens the chassis, and makes a nice handle while working on it or transporting it.
