    Help need Chassis dimensions

I am getting a custom trailer hitch made for my summit. I need mounting ideas. I was planning on using four screws to the bottom on the chassis. The only thing is that i don't have my summit with me and i need dimensions for the bottom of the chassis. Thanks.

Can you be a little more specific for us?

When you say four screws on the chassis are you refering to the four screws that hold the rear skid plate on?

Yes i was thinking of using longer screws and attaching the hitch there. If thats not possible i will just drill new holes in the chassis but i need the width of the chassis. I plan to attach it similar to this picture.

The rear skid plate is 1.3" wide by 3.8" long. So a 1.25 wide strap of aluminum might work pretty well for a hitch.

What is the distance between the four screws? And also the distance from the two screws in the rear to the end of the chassis.

Might be hard to use the two holes towards the center of the truck since they are on a different plane and counterbored in a good ways.

I'm eyeballing a lot here. I'd probably just shoot for 1-1/2" should get you close for what you're doing

    Rear holes are 1/8"
The others towards the middle of the truck are .135"

The trailer will be approximately 1.5" from the floor how much should the drop from the hitch be.

That all depends on the ride height of your Summit.

What springs, what position your pushrods are installed, what tires/rims, battery type and size, added weight from any aftermarket parts...you might want to wait until your Summit is in hand so you can take some measurements yourself to be sure of all variables.
