If I bought a 2wd Stampede, would I be able to transform into a 4x4 at a later date?

i dont think you would be able to... but hey! anything is possible lol
kawasaki summit, revo& slash; regular rusty, pede
Not without getting a 4x4 roller and moving your rx and motor over to it. Probably more to it than that but that would get you started.
All you would be able to change over would be the electronics tires and body
sl2sh, p4de trail truck
When you get a roller Chassis (I did this too) as well as the wheels, tyres radio gear and motor form ya truck I also had to purchase a motor mount plate and a new 32 pitch 11 turn pinion as the 2pede is 48 pitch and to high anyway.
It's well worth doing IMO. The 4pede is so much more fun and handles lots better. The 2pede was fine on Tarmac but anything else and it was far to unruly. Hehe...

The Pede and the P4de are so different that only selected parts will transfer over. Such as:
♦ Radio System
♦ ESC and Motor
♦ Tires
♦ Servo
♦ ReciverBox
♦ Shocks
♦ Rear A-Arms
♦ Clutch
♦ Turn Buckles
♦ Body and pins
♦ and that's it
Not enough to make a whole or even a half P4de.
Brushless RiPs Nitro Drips.
It wouldn't be worth it. I have one of each and they are almost completely different with very few common parts. Even the ones that look similar don't fit the other. The 4X4 is a completely different platform. Bodies, batteries, wheels/tires can be swapped. You could use a VXL 3s on a 2wd brushed model if you leave off the yellow wire. That way you can have a common part for a spare. Pretty much everything else is unique to each except shocks and springs are swappable.
