    Question High speed pinion

Is it ok to run the higher speed pinion in my merv with two batteries in parallel? Or will it overheat? And on occasion series for speed runs? Any help would be great.

The "speed" pinion will actually make your MERV run slower if fed the same voltage.
The intention of the speed pinion is to lower temps when running higher voltages than a single stock or 2S packs... either in parallel or one at a time.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

    Absolutely.
You will be going a little slower, but it will actually be a lot easier on the entire system.

i would pick up a few pinions in between and a temp gun. with cooler weather coming you can test your motor/gearing/battery limits and log them down. on my friends stock merv he runs 25/50 a good balance with 2s for bashing and 3s for high speed fun
