Smile can the VXL-3s handle a v550 4200kv brushless motor?

    hi there,
thanks for reading. I have a venom v550 4200kv brushless motor. I purchased and used the 80amp ESC that accompanied the motor. this will be my third replacement 80amp ESC from the manufacture (great C/S) but I lost faith in the ESC itself. I'm wondering if the Traxxas VXL-3s can push the motor without overheating or malfunctioning. I cant get my head around voltage rates and compatibility.
thank you very much for your help.

What batteries are you running? On 3s, the vxl may run hot...

hello and thank you for your advice/input. I use 2c's and 3c's. the biggest battery I use is a 3s, 5000mah at 30C. smallest size 2s 4000mah (one 5800mah sc) at 25C. I cant use any more than the 3s with 11.1 v correct?
    I appreciate your help Rag6

Make sure it's a 2 pole motor. The vxl3s won't run a 4 pole motor correctly . And yes, 3s maximum on that speed control.
