I am looking to get some new springs and shock oil for my Rally. I run it only on pavement, so I was wondering what springs and weight oil to get. Do I run the same springs front and rear?
Thanks!

I run softer springs up front and harder in the rear.
For on road only, you are going to want some pretty thick oil.
I cannot give you specifics because I do not run stock shocks.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
What shocks do you run? What springs and oil are you using?
Here is a link to the shocks:

The springs do not come with numbers... just soft, medium, and hard.
I am using 50wt oil, but these are big bore shocks; light oil in a bigger bore is like heavy oil in smaller bore.

i run 90-100wt in mine. i mostly run on carpet road course, but it does alright on the pavement too.
rustler vxl, slash 4x4 and now spec class slash.
I run Traxxas black springs in the front, and tan springs in the back
How does the car handle with those springs on pavement now?
The harder springs reduce sway and absorb bumps better. On perfectly flat pavement I set the ride height so there is 2mm of threads showing on the shocks, and for more uneven surfaces, I set it so 4mm of threads are showing. I also lowered the front body posts by two holes, and lowered the back so that 4.5 holes stick out underneath. This seems to be the best setup for me.
Does it matter if the springs are red, not white like the stockers. A buddy gave me a set of tan stripe'd and a set of black stripe'd from his merv, will they be the same as the ones SH302 uses???
Thanks SH302!!! I did do a lil investigate'n myself.....the red Merv springs are "longer" than the rallies.....so I went to the lhs and got the proper black n tan springs ($3 for a pair so worth try'n!!!) actually thumb'd thru the manual and the rally comes stock with 60wt shock oil....bump'd it up to 70wt with SH302's spring layout and it handles ALOT better!!! Full-throttle it now and she tracks alot better!!!! Like I said.....there's some GREAT info on this forum!!!! Thanks guys!!!!!
i am running black front tan rear and 5000 wt diff fluid in my shocks , thinking of going to 10000
