hi all i gust picked up mu 1st Emaxx used every seems to work on it but i noticed that the Servo (2055) seams really week any suggestions on a good replacement would like it to be water proof

i will be upgrading this Emaxx and will be looking for help and suggestions all long the way so i will be posting all that in this thread that way i do not have to start a new one every i have a ? thanks in advance for any help

Cool, the servo is weak as is the servo saver. I just bought a cheap servo from ebay That cheap it is a clone of a clone, but works very well. the servo saver needs replaced to the kimbrough black gas, #124 i think the number is.
But the orange esc you have only puts out 5V. You could use a bec to power the servos or upgrade the esc to the blue waterproof evx2 which outputs 6V. Good to see another 3906 on the streets.

cool I will try to look on ebay. Thanks you and yes I plan on upgrading to the waterproof esc and installing a waterproof box for the receiver as well

i own 2 e-maxxes. one newer 3903. but my favorite is my 3906. have fun.

it can be a money pit if you go crazy. I still have too much fun all my parts are used or from a chop shop except for the odd component that had to come from a hobby store.
What it looks like now. Motor from a used dewalt drill, RPM skids from ebay used. £7, Bulkheads used from ebay but expensive.£50+
diffs from chop shop £11, new carriers and I bar new to make it brushless spec.another £14
cvd's ebay new at the time was £20 incl shipping.
waterproof box new.£10
internal gears new.£9
Still got more things to add to it.
the shocks and esc was already there when i bought it.


How it was running then, but still working on gearing to get it sweet.

aluminum chassy with a new summit 2spd tranny, brushed 775 titan right now. the vid had a revo tranny in it.

nice hope to run the emaxx today

after driving it to i did my 1st upgrade to it i had a brand new FS-GT3B 2.4ghz 3ch transmitter and rx i was going to ues in one of my other R/Cs but this need it

$30 but this is not the one i ordered but they where out stock so sent me this one it is about a $60 radio but is well worth the 60 it would had cost

I have a question you guys can help me with on my esc it says 14.4 volts and it takes 2 batt the question i have is it seeing it as series or parralell

the esc is wired in series at battery end and parallel at motor end.

YOu need to replace those plugs. Those motors will eat those connectors. Deans or Traxxas

for right now i am going to use the stock esc,and servos i really want to up grade the steering servo soon was thinking of trying a traxxas summit servo

the body i got for the Emaxx


got my bumper and top arms today we will be getting them striped and coated soon

I dont think the stock esc will be able to handle the 24cells your going to be putting on it. besides that its only rated for 16.8v the new esc with lvc on it. for something like this your going to need something that can handle that much voltage with ability to handle 2 motors the MMM cant take 2 motors not that i know of. Why not go lipo? sorry if you posted that already i only read the first page here.

I think i may have posted it wrong i am going to run 4 5000mah NiMH 6 cell battery they are 7.2 volts thay will be ran in paralle on each side and when they go in to the esc they get wired into series so it will stay at 14.4 volts at the ecs that is what the ecs is rated for i have the old red ecs

i think you will find you going to need more power 4 batts and stock motors that alot of weight and plus the tall tires just my .02
