Lol....It's all good man, glad you could help him out
I have yet to try the center diff but I don't have any 2s lying around. I ordered a FLM aluminum center diff housing from rcmonsters but I'm not sure if their inventory is up to date. I can't seem to find it in stock anywhere else.
I finally ran it a bit in the driveway for 5 minutes to adjust the steering and found that the motor is overheating. I didn't even go past 1/4 throttle since I didn't have the room for it. I know nothing is binding and my mesh isn't tight. I'll have to take it apart tomorrow and see what is causing it.

Well it turns out that the overheating issue was my fault. I made the mistake of cutting the motor wires shorter without checking the Internet first. Each strand of the copper winding is coated with lacquer and I didn't clean it up when I soldered it the first time around. I was only running the motor with less than half of the windings being used. My friend was able fix it and solder it properly and was able to run it with great results. The high Kv motor is fast (just like I expected) and runs cool as a 2400/2650 motor. This is definitely a keeper and I am planning on picking another one up for my next project.

Thanks man...I had a chance to use the center diff last night. It definitely helped my takeoff using 500k diff fluid (paste)

Nice lot of rc cars! Looks like you had fun!![]()
DeWalt 1/8 Summit, Slash XL-5, Slayer Pro 3.3.
Can you explain in more detail what was wrong with your motor. Im not sure what you mean by cutting wires to short, etc.
Thanks
NUE motors doesn't come with flexible wires (the newer once now do). The coper wires from the windings go out about an inch past the can. Each tip is pre soldered but I made the mistake of cutting it. Each strand is coated with lacquer so it needs to be scraped or cleaned out and must be soldered together for all wires to conduct.

Hey man truggy looks great....what mounts did you use? It looks like you have the stock ones on there but how did you mount them in the center of the shock tower?
how is the FLM center diff housing holding up? I've heard lots of negative problems with them.
hey man, what hole did you mount your shocks on? I can't let from the pictures.
I used the top middle mount for the front and rear..
For the front, I used the lowest setting and the for the rear I used the 2nd lowest setting..
