STRC LCG Chassis for SLash 4x4!

Here is my STRC lcg build.







My parts list -
STRC lcg chassis
STRC steering bellcrank
STRC front c-hubs
STRC beadlock rings
Tekno axles - front, rear and center
Pro-line Powerstrokes
RPM bumpers front and rear
Pro-Line split six rims wrapped with Pro-line Caliber 2.0 tires

Just an observance of a few builds...but it seems there are many nerf bars that are upside down.
I guess it doesn't matter, just something I have seen.

I did it because if u run them normally the little tab sticks down further than the chassis, so its more of keep the botom smooth and it protects the electronics a little more

I put mine upside down so they would be flush with the bottom of the chassis

I know right, now that I'm getting one with all the blue I feel bad for my Sticker Bomb creation that hasn't had a chance to completely get bashed in yet..

That red looks sweet, I though about buying another chassis with red accents but haven't yet. This post doesn't help me save my money.

Kevin if you wanted a red one I would hop on it. Not sure how many Steve has left if any at all. Maybe you would get lucky and he wouldn't have them in stock so then you would save money. But if he had one oh boy you could be in trouble.

Man so far from reading I see nothing but positives from everyone. I know guys at our track are all dumping their current LCG setups for the STRC. They can't believe how much stuff they are getting and how high the quality is. With the huge savings they get then they just buy more stuff for their truck. Its amazing just letting my truck sit in the hobby shop does wonders once customers see it in person.

did a side by side with my osi just to see how it sit and compare. also xxkilloxx nice choice and combo of colors. and slashdigger ty you gave me an idea for my wiring.this build is a rally racer gonnna change out the bumpers and i have a rally body waiting to be painted. anyone know a good airbrush painter that could help me out ?

just noticed the ssc chassis n the background! R you selling it? And how did u get that color?

Lol, yes that's my ssc in the background... I got it when they first were available... It was the only color choice (raw aluminum). I am putting clean oils in the diffs in it, that's why it's apart. Now I just need to find some time to reassemble it.

If you are talking about the nerf bars, they are RPM.

not the nerf bars it is the side guards in the top of the pic looks like a (osi ) one ?my bad that is the top plate for the chassis the way it sits looks like a sideguard lol

Be interested in what you say about the difference between the two LCG setups and if you see any handling differences. We have a guys at our track that has two of the other ones and buying the STRC because the other ones have bent chassis plates. In fairness he and his son of pretty tough on them at the track. Be interested on how the STRC holds up to their abuse.

Well I finally got a chance to run my Slash for a few minutes today and I think I can sum my first impression up in a few words.... WOOHOO!! HECK YEAH!! YEEHAW!! Holy cow I don't think you could beat this smile off my face with a Louisville Slugger I am amazed at how much more responsive the truck is! On a turn that I used to have to take at a little over half throttle or the body roll would put me on my roof I was able to keep it pinned and power slide through the turn It started to rain so I called it quits but I can see that I am going to have to start gearing up for more speed to find a new sweet spot for my driving style

I was talking to the guy at my lhs and he said he had never seen the strc lcg kit so i told him i would bring it up there so he could look at it. The look on his face was priceless. He looked like he was amazed. He kept looking at it asking me what all the other parts were on the truck. Even when i left he was looking at it as i walked off.

A few of us have used color vinyl for the bottom.
To give it a cool look plus add a little protection.

I didnt get anything, its all about the kids in my house! My son got an E Revo and a DR-1 heli. My daughter got a slash Raptor, I think she might get the 2wd STRC lcg kit with the rustler chassis on her new truck... I have to keep the kids competitive on race day!!
