    Preventive Maintenace on the truck

I am looking to get a Stampede 4x4 for my 10 year old. I am also converting a nitro revo to brushless so we can bash. Besides keeping the truck clean what is you maintenance on these trucks to keep them in good working order.

Clean and re-lube bearings. Clean the differentials with degreaser/contact cleaner then apply automotive grease. Silicon or Lithium based. Take your time to dismantle all of the parts mostly plastic parts. Wash them with diluted Simple Green and blow dry. Remember to dry them all. Even the tiniest and smallest spaces. Metal parts will rust if they are not taken care of.

Other than shake the rocks out I never clean mine unless it gets taken out in the rain. :-) 3 mths plus now and the only breakage is a drive shaft and that had nothing to do with lack of cleaning.

bearings and diffs are the most important to keep lubed plus a small paint brush and a can of compressed air comes in handy to keep your truck going...peace
