    Bad crash

Just finished up putting a bunch of hop ups in the spartan and had to try it out. Water had a slight chop and a mild breeze. Gave her some juice and it came out of the water like a plane. Rolled, skipped, bounced and landed upright. Hatch was torn off but no significant damage..... Until I noticed my new lipo swell right in front of me. There was a little water in the hull but not bad considering the crash and cart wheels down the river. Is it normal for lipo's to swell if they get slightly wet ? Is there a way to water proof them ?

Lipos won't swell from getting wet, unless there was a problem to begin with and the water shorted it out.

They can be damaged by impact and swell, but if they were strapped in properly, the risk is low.

I have buoyed both my Spartans many times and the water has never hurt the lipos.

30mins. In the water with my LIPOs due to a flip and without rescue rig LOL! but until now still work as new, the cells won't be killed by the water, unless you played in the salt water that is a different story. Make sure check the voltage it should be all balanced.

Most likely water resistant than waterproof...
