    Need some gearing advice

Hey guys newer to rc and I'm running a BL with 3s lipo on a 2wd slash. I want to stick with 48p so I can keep the gear cover. (I run in deep sand and dirt a lot). What are some good gearing options to keep heat down and also maintain a good amount of torque and speed? Let me know what you think.....

    Thanks guys

when I ran in the sand with my rustler I would run 19/86 with 3s and paddle tires. Still got pretty warm though. If you have a dremel and some shoo goo you can still use a gear cover. Now that I race a 2wd slash I run 32pitch gears with a home made cover. Running 15/52 gears at 145 degrees.
