Whats everyone running for gearing?

I was just wondering what everyone was running for gearing. I was thinking of going up a couple teeth on my pinion from stock to bring my power into the mid range. Any thoughts?

Everyone has different terrain, driving habits, weather conditions, ect.

where should i start with gearing? i just built a summit from a parts bin i got its all stock and wiull be used for light bashing and light crawling where should i atleast start has stock pinion then i have a 23t spur or a 17t or 13t?

I run an 18t pinion, gear on the motor. Stock is a 16t. You just have to watch your temps, if in heavy grass an 18t will make you run hot. I run pavement, short grass, and soft to hard dirt.

With a 23t spur it is going to be very hot.
Stock for a Revo is 50t, I think the stock for a Summit is 55t.

Start with a 17t pinion and a 55t spur.

right on thanks guys i do have a temp gun so i should stay under 180 for the motor and 150 for the esc is this right?

Your hottest temps should be 180°F for both ESC and motor.
