    Thumbs up My Emaxx build

I found this on ebay, already had FLM chassis, and bulkheads, RPM arms, and carriers, front & rear bumper. I installed D8 shocks, Savox servo 2270 (444oz), traxxas cvd's. Haven't made my mind on tires, and battery tray. stock body is ingreat condition. I plan to run 4s geared 64/18. I'm new to the emaxx so all comments, and suggestions are welcome.

i got the hobbywing sc8 2000kv motor and geared 21/65 and have good speed and torque all around and temps are way below than what max is.
what tires are you considering getting? lots of choices i know. i like the trenchers x mainly for offroading as i like to do that and just use stock wheels onroad as they seem to hold up well for that.

ooh yeah nice servo you choose tons of torque

Very nice emaxx you got there. have an idea what lipos you plan on using. i know it would have to be around 5000 40C+ these things pull amps like crazy

I would like to get some Proline big joes, trenchers seems to be too tall not sure yet. I got some gens ace 2s 5000 50c.

perfect lipos for the emaxx plenty of amps, i hear the big joes are heavier than the trenchers not sure how since they looks to be about the weight size is only off by a few .00". both tires are nice on the emaxx.

Thats a great start for your project. You can check out the trays on my build. Project black and blue. They fit the flm chassis nicely.

Very nice! Are you using extended d8 shocks or regular or regular with the longer rear ends? I've been wanting to try them out.

    proline makes Trencher

    Height: 6.89" (175mm)
    Width: 3.43" (87mm)

    and Trencher X

    Height: 6.50" (165mm)
    Width: 4.15" (105mm)

trencher X wider and lower profile !

the ones I really want are mashers mounted on maximizer, but they are not cheap, probably will get the trenchers.

They are the regular 97mm long, I compared them with the stock ones, and they are like 2mm short,so I'll give them a try.

Nice !!! will take a look at the trencher X then. I guess it will be better to get them separate and tape them instead of premounted right?

    thx a lot.

mounted are cheaper by far i know i have looked them up at like over 10places and every place its always cheaper to buy them mounted then unmount them your self and tape and reglue them as you will pay like 10-20 more buying them unmounted.

I wish PL would make the trencher wide like the X's but the same height as the Reg Trencher to make it 6.89"x 4.15 now that would be a tire. I want the 6.89 but not the 3.43 width size as thats about the size of my stock tire on width so i would have to decide if i want X's now i do like them lower profile and more wider and price is the same mounted either one. humm decisions decisions.

RC-Fan- you'll have a monster with the trenchers man. i like those bulkheads you have on yours.

I really don't like the trencher x's but I do mostly street runs. You can get maximizers and mashers for $100. I'm going that route soon. Fwiw I absolutely love the HPi phaltlines for the street and they do fine in the grass too. I have a set on both trucks now.

Yeah definitely getting some street and some for off road. I've looking at the 3.2 mashers with rpm rims. Probably some roadrages for pavement .I like low profile tires better.

the low profiles seem to handle better turning on faster speeds than the higher bulky tires though my emaxx slides into corners with my stock wheels nicely only sometimes do i flipped when turning like in my last vid i took haha

Go to hobbylinc.com. They should have those trenchers for $25/ pair. You gotta tape them if ur going 6s, but they arent bad on 4s. Just make sure to get an offset wheel like geodes, or those maximizers, or 1/2 desperados. If not, youll flip everytime you turn. I love the 3.8 chevrons for all terrain, esp road cause u slide instead of roll over. Ive tried trenchers too, now I have the revo 3.3 setup, maxx tires on geodes. I think theyre the perfect size for all around driving. I use mostly 4s, 5s time to time. Let me know how those shocks handle all the weight after you get a few runs in. Id like to have 4 big nice shocks that can handle a 12lb truck as opposed to 8.

Finally made my mind I'm going with Mashers 3.8 on Desperados 1/2 offset. Now I need some recommendation on a wheelie bar. I have RPM rear bumper btw.

Haven't update this...My LHS had big joes, trenchers, and mashers. Liked the big joes but didn't have any offset so out of the question, mashers looked good but didn't like the fact it was too much room between threads, so the trenchers X is the winner.

    Added a wheelie bar too,

    love it...

It is an flm chassis, and bulkheads. Chassis runs about a 100.00, bulkheads don't remember.
