So I read that Traxxas is going to possibly release thier own lcg chassis. Could this be true and what would it be like?

I didn't se any pics yet. But the topi is hitting a few various forums as the lcg chassis were seen this past weekend being used. Supposed to be released within a month or so. Still hoping to get some concrete info from Traxxas...

Could you post a picture of it? When I click on the link my internet filter blocks it.

Oh this is going to be good. 1 slash 4x4 for bashing and one for racing! I wonder if the LCG version will be as tough as this present one. I do know that you shouldn't bash a racer.

The one from Traxxas I hear is plastic so it's going to be hard to say.

I bet the chassis is just like a 1/8 buggy chassis with a new motor mount location. I wonder if it will have a top plate?

This could help those who race by offereing a cheaper alternative to those higher end chassis. But the performance is to be proven.

I really like Traxxas and the slash 4x4 and have been looking into a LCG, but thought for the price, just switch to a Losi SCTE I am hoping we might hear something from Traxxas to confirm this on the website. If so I could really hold off and get a Traxxas LCG.

If I find out they are really looking into it, will keep me from swapping companies.

Here's some info from a sponsored driver on another forum..

"Ok since the cat is kinda out of the bag on Big Squid I figure its time to post about it. It is true that STRC is coming out with an LCG chassis setup for the 4x4 Slash. I don't have all the details from Steve at STRC but Steve and I will be testing the new setup in the next few weeks.

Its a prototype so not sure til I talk with Steve on how much of this will the final product. One thing I will say is the price point is what I think is fantastic at right at 99.95 and then if you use STRC products like been for the last 2 years or more you know he has nothing but top quality parts for the price. I don't expect any less quaility from Steve at STRC.

Even Traxxas makes an LCG setup more than likely it will be 100% molded and I'm guessing not much cheaper than the upcoming STRC setup so I know he will be selling a ton of these."
