I am wondering what the largest Mah 3S lipo you guys can fit in the pede 4x4? I just picked up the 2400kv and want to get some 3s but not sure what fits.

I do know the spc 3s 8200 will fit with expansion kit. Traxxas offers some bigger mah lipos, but not sure if they will fit length of the tray.

The SPC 8200 is a very tight fit. According to the length specs of the battery (145mm) and the tray (142mm), it would even be too long.
The Traxxas 6400 3S fits but the 8400 3S is too long.Nobody is born with experience.

Which Hobby city batts fit? I would like to get at least a 40c or more batt with 5000mah minimum.

If you get the 5400mAh 3S 50C from SPC, you will never regret it. More than enough for the 2400. I have a MMP/2650 combo and that doesnt give it a hard time.

Man I hope it fits. That pack and the motor I have in waiting is the core of the pede 4x4 build that is my top rc priority right now. I just picked up the mmp. If it doesn't fit, I will make it fit. I will contact spc...
