New Merv owner and greetings from Slovenia

    Hi,

First I would like to say it is a very nice community here with a lot of info. I have been reading this forum before I got my merv, just to prevent spending tons of money for bad upgrades. I`m not new to RC, I was pretty active as teenager then I drop it for a couple of decades, then few years ago it started to come back.
I have decent knowledge on electronics, mechanics etc... Past few years I was pretty active in Losi Micro-t modding scene, and a few months ago I decided to get a bigger RC. Merv was I choosen entirely on the look (I always liked "chubby" cars better then realistic ones) and I must say it is a nice toy. It is very well designed and every screw is in place.

    I have done some upgrades:

    -HPI rims and Speed hawgs
-Replaced connectors with Deans (dyed black)
    -RPM arms
    -Steel pivot balls
    -HR springs
    -motor heatsink
    -RPM bumpers
-bearings in the bellcrank and rocker arms
    -Parallel 2s 2200 mAh Lipo

I also replaced radio with Spektrum Dx2S, dyed the rocker arms, added fan on the ESC and found a nice solution for wires layout ....

I have a few items in mail:

    -Traxxas CVDs
    -GPM Alu knuckles
    -GPM steel toe links
    -2x 3s 1400 mah Lipos

    My question is:

Is better to buy GPM shocks + bracers + T-bone

    or:

    GPM Bulkheads + gearbox

Tough question - I agree with 50, HR Bulkheads. But I would go with a third option: Bulkheads and T-Bone.

gpm have snap on caps like the stock shocks hr screw on and will never pop off.

not really the best pick to show you but the black caps screw on a tip with the hr shocks use the stock traxxas blue seals .i used one blue, spacer, blue and an hr seal on top
