With my CC 3800kv with 17t pinion I hit 43 mph on 2s.

Will do a vid in a week or so but its faster than when i was running 11t with a 3s on the vxl system and i am only using 2s at the moment. the can is 66.5mm long and the esc can run 4s...peace

what were your temps like? the reason i ask is one of my buddies is really interested in this combo for bashing.

the motor is about 135c and the esc 90c max after a full 2s 5300mah 50-100c battery.so happy it nuts..peace

You are happy with a motor temp of 135ºc?!?!? That is 275ºF,,,seems way too hot to me.

Theres two esc sct pro not waterproof or sc8 which is. i got sct because i never run my trucks in the rain. but they are 120a monsters and can run 4s

Ran it last night with a gps from a mate and got 43.6mph on 17t pinion and 54t spur using 2s 5300mah 50-100c pack it is a monster with the punch on maxlove it...peace

Just got this same combo for my future Slash 4x4. Does it use TRX pinions? The shaft on the motor looks too big but I haven't tested a pinion on it.

I do not know to much about mmp2400 combo but my setup on 17t pinion on 2s runs 43 mph+ and 60mph+ on 3s

Its a power house but yours is a torque monster man but in the uk your combo is around £200 quid and mine cost about a £110

Thank you!! I wish I'd known that beforehand...already have some TRX ones on the way that won't work now. Does that mean Revo and Maxx pinions work or am I needing Novak ones?

I would use 2s just to keep the motor and esc happy and try a 13t pinion because its a nice blend of top end and acceleration.But if you go for 3s use a 9t pinion and a esc fan and motor fan as well.Plus get the bearing adapter part no 6893x if you have not got it yet.....peace

Thanks for that, yeah i think i'll start with 2s, getting used to lipo's usage and in the meantime get the truck a bit stronger. Will do bearing adapter with my next order, and i'm wondering about motor mount? Do you need to do both or can you just install part no 6893x with existing motor mount? I'd kind of like to do motor mount but can't find Kingz Head one for sale in UK... what are you running?

I wouldn't bother with the motor mount. Especially on 2s. I just have the bearing adapter fitted and no issue so far. I order most parts from Model Sport or Wheelspin Models. MS has better postage fees. I also buy a fair bit from the US or China. It's all good just take a little longer to arrive.
