I got them from Hobbytown USA in Concord! $19.99 a pair! Cheaper than Proline Street Fighters.

Very cool! I am assuming the $19.99 is only for the tires and not for the rims too?

You are correct! Just for the tires. I did get two of the rims for $19.99. I don't remember what I got the other two for. I have had two of them for a long time. It's nice to be done with stripping wheels and hex. All aluminum=no more stripped parts

Thank you D! It's a body I put together with some extra stickers I had laying around. I hope to give the tires a good run soon! Lately I've just been running off road. So I hope to soon be able to let the forum know how they perform. By the way, keep those videos coming! I hope your family is doing good. You have a beautiful family

Do I understand that the wheels are aluminum? I thought about getting a set of aluminum wheels but couldn't find them in black, only bright silver.

Yes these wheels are all aluminum! They are well constructed! I have had two of them for about a year. I got the other two in late July early August. Banjo, I'm not completely sure where to buy them. I bought them from the Hobbytown in Concord, California. I haven't been able to track them down again. I love how durable they are! If I can find another set, I'd have them on both trucks

With the sl4sh, an alloy wheel will benefit your truck. The low weight helps counter our high center of gravity.

Those aluminum wheels have helped a lot with the stability of the truck! The added weight of the wheels and the Mip's help with traction and it rarely wants to flip over. I had a buddy of mine say its too heavy until we went to our bash spot and mine was glued to the ground and his kept flipping over. I am very pleased with them.

I put a MaxAmps 2S 5450 mah LiPO battery in mine. Less weight then NiMH or other LiPo's I've tried, 120c power to the Castle 1410 motor. So lots more stability because of less weight on top, tons more power. You do need an extended height hold down for the battery. And on asphalt, you can run through rear tires quickly. The outside of the tires will wear down with the stock rear camber setup. So put in some camber on the rear to get the tire contact right. Which also helps stability because the outside edge of the tire doesn't catch and flip the truck in turns. Zoooooom!

It looks like tomorrow I will be able to give these tires a good run! I cannot wait to see how they perform compared to the Street Fighters and the Robbers. I will keep you all posted

Just took the truck for the first drive with the new tires! Man these tires are great! They hold the road well and I didn't see any ballooning from them on full throttle runs! I ran a full 5400mah lipo with them and there is almost no visible wear on them! I will have to pick up another set for my fast truck! I am completely satisfied

They are close to the same as the Street Fighters and the Dynamite Robbers. I am quite impressed with them. They haven't really shown much sign of wear. Went out with a couple of friends and we were jumping them behind a Lucky supermarket in the loading dock. I was getting so much traction in the landings that the tires would come off the rims! This is not going to be my last set of these tires

I find That running our center fluid filled differential will save on tire where and life big-time. The Traxxas Center differential comes filled with 100 K fluid from the factory and I love mine!!!

I think you have the weird set people talk about. You need to contact matt at Mip and he'll take care of you. Matt@miponline.com if i'm not mistaken. Matt is a good guy and should get you the correct parts. I ran my truck aga in and I love those tires even more! I will definitely will be gettin another set for other truck sooner or later. Still no noticeable wear to the tires. I will take pictures after my next run.

I have read on different threads that some of the hex are rounded on the ends instead of squared. So if yours are rounded you can probably get the squared hex from Matt.
