Am sorry but am tired as many other members of search for aid or info about a our mini slash, without find nothing but seas of merv info, and i would like to have a separate special thread to discuss, only mini slash related topics.

i am aware about the similarity between the merv and mini slash but,
i just want to see fresh and old info about mini slash only, and not the merv.

am sorry, merv owners, but i love my slash way much, and would never trade for a merv,

lets keep aside both models and no the shadow of one of them behind the other...

and please mini slash owners be welcome to post any related about the slash model here

I have heard a few people say bad things about the wheel extenders on Mervs but the few slash reviews I have seen like them. You can also get offset rims.

Do you mean to replace the slash suspension with the revo one to widen the wheel base?

you can use 1/16 rally springs that should drop it low and off set wheels to widen it as mention ^^

You can buy wheel extenders, offset rims, and longer toelinks to widen it.

You can get shorter pushrods, shorter shocks, or shim your shocks internally to lower it. And stiffer suspension helps, I ised 50wt oil and double black in back, tan up front.

It widens the stance by a few MM on each side by allowing the pillow balls to be unscrewed a bit further. Since the stock ones are static, you have to adjust the wheel angles on both axis's with the pillow balls.

Also, I might have the names mixed up. There are 8 (optional) turnbuckles total, 4 for shock travel and 4 for wheel tuning.

Not that i really have any bizzo here, but the house mate has the MERV so I peruse these threads a lot. I agree with the separate threads. There is three diffo threads for the Revo's, so why not for the 1:16 class.

Also I am debating a mini Slash.

To help with the stability - I've seen a mini Slash with the MERV arms, push-rods and toe-links before, with the Slash wheels on, it looked a tad odd with the wheels half hanging out of the cover and half not. The guy had some aftermarket springs and 100WT oil in the shocks to TRY help prevent the wheels destroying the body...I don't know how that is going for him, as I haven't seen him for a bit, but it sure helped a lot from what I saw in the car park..

This is my personal recomendation to get it more stable,....

get a wider tires, in this case integy type II billet machine, there are awesome(i know is hard to believe ,coming from integ, but this are great),

the measures are: 1.5 width, 2.8 outside diameter, hex 12 vs the stock ones:
1.1 width, 2.7 outside diameter, hex 12,

i also get a roll cage, and black springs in front and gold spring in the rear,(where the most heavy weight is)...

here my slash with the type II tires on, is way more stable than stock, and this tires works for both, on-road & off-road purpouse...

If you add revo arms and driveshafts...that makes it a revo with a slash body, lol.

Just like guys that have summits, they want it lower so they change shocks and driveshaft and stuff...well now its a revo with a summit body...lol

@Pechan I really like the way that looks but would be worried about the additional rotating mass. I haven't had any need to shim my diffs or replace them, & I don't want to do CVD's at all. Also I need to upgrade the stock servo (Traxxas customer support is # 1 BTW for replacing mine, thanks) before moving to those rims/tires.

My roll cage is Integy BTW...

well, so far me neither , with the diffs issues, but i must let clear something:

for on road the stability with this integy tires is awesome and driving as well,

but for off road on sand, i swap to stock tires instead, more fun and safe
