Would the ********* 2650kv work with my Traxxas VXL-S speed control? Looking at the amp and current ratings for the 2 of them it looks like it will ,but I wanted some second opinions. I'm on a budget or else I would just drop in a MMP setup.

I don't think so, that motor needs at least 3s to move, vxl-3s won't be up to the task to supply those amps, mmp will be a better option.

You could always hook it up and see what happens. Then report back to the rest of us how it worked. A video is also helpful to show your results

I donīt think thatīs a good idea, if the motor draw more amps than the esc can handle it can be damaged.

The reason that I said that is because he said they look comparable in specs. His best bet is to get a MMP or a better esc.
