    Houston we have a problem

Hey guys I was researching the castle motors for when my 3500 burns out. well it was suggested twice on this forum to get the 2400 castle. Well I was on another site to buy it off of and it said this:

This is the Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro Speed Control
with 2400 kV Sensorless, Brushless Motor.
**Not for use in 1/10 scale monster trucks**

What's with the not for use in moster trucks?

also could someone explain the difference in the 3800 and the 2400 castle motors and why one is better then the other or why I want the 2400, sorry I'm a newb

they mean the e-maxx and e -revo. Those are still considered 1/10 scale. The 2400 is fine for the pede.

No worries the 2400 is the best for the pede, 3800 is a higher kv motor meaning it will spin faster than 2400, geared the same with the same voltage, 3800 will be faster but will heat faster too, lower kv motor like the 2400 can be run with higher voltage and gear it higher for more speed.

3800kv good for up to 3s, it might run hot, great on 2s.
2400kv can be run up to 5s, great torque, speed, lower temps, needs at least 3s lipo.
