Traxxas Glowplugs...

Ok I want to know if I got the worst luck or if its common to buy traxxas glow plugs and have 3 out of 4 not work before there even used??

Im just hoping its a fluke and will never happen again, 15-20 bucks down the drain.

I did get them to work by tapping them but I refuse to use them, Im not putting anything I got to tap to work in my maxx..

Also what a good plug for the 3.3 thats not made by traxxas.

i'm using a mc coy hot plug and works great so far.

I have NEVER seen 3 bad plugs at one time from any mfr........

In fact I've only had 2 bad new plugs and they weren't Traxxas either.....

I use Duratrax LR3 or OS LC3

USedmany Traxxas plugs never saw that issue.....

Nitronaught- 3 where never used I had just bought 4 of them and they wont glow. 1 did and I think its still in my sons stampede.

I thought it was my ignitor, I might try them with the EZ start glow plug ignitor and see if its a amperage/power issue.
If they work with the EZ start then my son will have a few back up plugs in his box of parts.

I like traxxas and have owned many traxxas vehicles. This issue with the glow plugs wont change my view on traxxas.
Still going to rock my tmaxx.

Strange, I was out running my Slayer today and it just stopped and died. It wouldn't start again, so I took the glow plug out. The little filiment is MELTED! How in the world, does it melt? I know for sure I was running too rich, not too lean... Any ideas?

I've only had 1 bad traxxas plug out of bag, I've killed many from being stupid, but only one bad one right outta the bag.

Wolf, I've only seen them from being too lean, sure it didn't break & just looks like it melted?

we had 2 bad ones straight out of the package this weekend..and traxxas refused to do anything about it

I use O'Donnell purple in my 3.3 on 30%, and i believe my kids have reds in their 2.5's with 20%, never have had ANY of them foul, melt, or anything, i bought 10 at once almost a year ago, put 5 in the our fleet, and still have 5 new spares.
