Merv driving itself

i have this problem for about 4 mounths, but i was never interested in solving it,but now i want to.
she drives sometimes on her own if i let go the trotlle, and if the transmitter stands on something, she will start to move on her own.

can someone help me? is it the transmitter, esc or the motor?

Need to recalibrate the ESC and remote to each other. This is explained in great detail in the manual.

recalebrated and it still does that, i even opened up the transmitter and i found a little rock inside, but the problem is still there.
my steering works great, so what can it be?

Maybe it's the setting of the throttle trim of the multi function knob. Program that to throttle trim and see if you can solve it that way.

Open up your transmitter and check the wire from the antenna to the port that it's plugs into, make sure that this wire is seated properly very simple to do, take 5 screws out and pull the transmitter apart you should be able to see the black wire that is running from the antenna down to the bottom of the controller, make sure where this plugs in at is seated firmly. Good luck and hope this helps, if all else fails contact traxxas tomorrow (Monday) and let them know what problem you are having.

i also noticed a scratch in the plate;


and btw; i live in belgium, and im 15 years old, so i dont think it woud help if i call them. i woudnt understand them.

Looks like it is plugged in just fine.
The scratch is no where near any circuitry, so there is no harm done.

My car goes backwards by it self if i set the controller to 75/25. I tried everything keeps do it. So i just keep it at 50/50

i shanced it, but it make no difference, i think the problem is that the transmitter/ esc doenst recognize the neutral position.

Holy Water.... Works 100%, 62% of the time. Wonder if there's 2.4 interference nearby. Wireless router, phone? Does it do this at your home, or all the time?

My slash does the same thing. I switched the transmitter to reverse the servo and it seems to work better

Did you try to reset the transmitter to default? I have the idea that it has something to do with your trim.

Resetting is done this way:

- Hold both SET and MENU while turning your transmitter on
- Release SET and MENU (red LED blinks)
- Press SET to reset transmitter (green LED should turn solid green)

it only gets worse, so i decided to not touch it anymore and take it to a hobby shop: only 1 problem; there isnt one nearby, closest one is in brugge( 30 miles away) and my dad cannot tkae me there because he is at his work the hole week and my mother doenst have a car because she want to save the earth.

so... im trying to go there with my friend who has a rc boat with water coming in. if his dad will bring me there its al good.

Try unplugging the servo and see if the problem goes away

no, it doesnt, my servo is alreday unplugged because im preparing it for waterproofing

30 miles isn't too bad. My nearest (half-decent) HS is an hour drive... one way. The closest one is a 5 minute drive... but they are 100% completely clueless to anything RC... they do sell Traxxas, but are mostly an arts and crafts shop.

i have an rc shop 2 miles away, but he doesnt know anything, he would just ruin it.
30 miles isnt too bad... if you have a car. wich i dont have because im 15, getting there on bike isnt that easy.

We have 2 good hobby shops about 15 minutes away and 3 hobby people within a 30 min drive

your lucky
