    Shock setup for bashing

What is a good shock oil weight and spring combo for general bashing?

Also what is the stock shock oil weight?

Yes. As far as I know there are two... one is bolt on, the other requires some modification.

    I went this route:

Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

A lot depends on terrain and driving style. What works one way to perform great usually performs horrible the other way. Stock is right in the middle of just about everything out there. It doesn't hurt to keep a little chart. N those spring retainers will greatly change the way the car handles for different surfaces without having to have multiple sets of shocks or one that's only good for one thing. The valves and the oil control the compression and the spring the rebound. Relax the springs but don't change oil now it still has the ride it had off road without spring ing in the air from a manhole for the street. Crank them back down n your ready for some jumps without tearing the bottom out. These are after all coil overs and offer a lot of tune ability to those that tune. Sometime a stronger shock body is all that's need to get them to perform more consistently.

Mine too. But I put purple in the rear. Has anybody tried the outboard shock reservoir type?
