so last weekend i was bashing and broke the rear skid plate(inbetween the front four screws and the other four screws on the chassis braces) and the rear right bulkhead. i bought the RPM skidplates thinking that they replace all the skidplates but they dont....son of a beep. can i still use the broken skidplate with the rpm over top of it cuz there is a break between the rear skid and the middle rpm skidplates right where the stock one broke. any ideas? if i can still run it with the broken skid or does only the skid give it support to the chassis other than the bulkhead?

Still haven't figured out the best way to mount my shocks but this may work![]()
If anyone has a better way please send me ur input thanks
Truggy body?
Yes I plan to run a 8ight t punisher body
nice! I love truggy bodies. your's shocks look fine. The only thing I would be worried about is the aluminum shock tower ripping out of the plastic bulkheads.

I have aluminum bulks ordered there just not here yet that was just for testing purposes.. Take a look at this wing mount its the lightning one but it seems way low![]()
ah right on. Yeah I have the same problem. If you look at actual truggies they have body mounts coming off the middle (or so) of the rear shock tower. I'm going to try and get a pair of these to work using the existing holes in the shock tower. it'll be easy for you since you only have one pair of shocks in the rear

I seen that on my 8t and tought about using them I guess I will prolly do that
Well I got my old wing mount to work till I get my new body and wing mount I'm going to go with the mugen mbx5 wing but here is what I have done so farI'm not sure I like how wide my truck is with these offset trenchers

Just ordered
8ight t 2.0 punisher body
Mugen mbx5 wing mount & braces
The tmaxx diffs I was running decided they don't like my new trenchers I have shredded 2 diff cups today front went first I came home rebuilt it went back to the site and there rear went ;( I'm trying to decide if I want to buy 2 EMBE spec diffs since the tmaxx ones held up for a while, buy the hot racing diff carriers or just go all out and get the FLM combos?!?
um...flm!! I thought the trencher x's look too wide to but I really like how it turned out with the UE monoblock chassis extension

Yea I like the way that looks I may have to get an extension does it help handling ?
to be honest I haven't run it since I put it on. it came in the mail the day before I went back offshore to work and all I did was install it for the pics. I'm still trying to find a lengthened rear dogbone. I have a 131mm and a 142mm one waiting at the house to try when I get home next week (11/21). I'll be sure to let you know what works and how it handles. I don't know how fast these will go but you might want to get one before they are gone. You never know if he will be building more or not.

Helps with handling like an extended chassis would. Originally I believe they were created so that guys running Dace Predator (T-maxx) chassis with a small block could get some extra length. Nowadays with the chassis being extended already (from what it once was anyways) I guess you get to a point where you have to ask yourself "how long/wide is too long/wide?" You have to strike a happy medium otherwise it just feels... awkward for lack of a better word. For example, my standard length chassis T-maxx with .5" offset wheels was wider than it was long and it handled odd on the track. For bashing it was great, but as soon as I had to worry about lap times and pushing the trucks handling, it just didn't feel right. Personal preference comes into play too..

I'm getting parts to turn my HPI Vorza into a truggy for Christmas. I do believe my emaxx's current length and width are similar to that and I'll find out for sure soon enough. if that's the case then I would say the length and width are ideal imo.

Decided if I'm just going to bash it and not race the wing had to go I almost lost my rear bulk when screws sheared off in it!!
I use a 400W computer PS, works great and can be gotten for Free. how are you liking the 5955tg? I'm in the market for a new servo as well.
I may even be switching to gens ace batteries later on, I want to get 5s and gens has hard case 2 and 3s 5000mAh 40c at a decent price.
The gens ace are awesome for the price the servo I moved to my 8ight T I didnt want the snow to ruin it but it worked awesome. My powersupply didn't cost me to much at all to convert but it puts out 1700 watts 74a and it's got 24v and 12v inputs it's kinda overkill lol![]()
Great lookin Flux~Capacitor you got there!
Seriously though that's a good lookin PS build out.
Look out for the tree/crunch!
LiPo? Naw NITRO!!
Nice setup. Mine is 94amps at over 1000 watts
Looks good...nice one!!

Just read through your post, and it is a nice E-maxx you have build. I have been making racers out of several E-maxx's the last decade, and as to make an E-maxx really raceable on the track, you need a lcog chassis, like this FLM chassis:

Even better would be finding a Gorillamaxx chassis on Ebay. These chassis makes a huge difference. I am putting some of my builds over the years for inspiration:
