    HS5085MG Programming help

Guys, the stock servo gave out (maybe 25-30 runs) - I can't get any response from the new 5085MG I just installed, I've seen some comments on reversing related to the 390, but do I need any special programming to get this baby to respond? Thank you

    - when I adjust the steering trim button I can hear the servo make a soon, but thats it. thanks!

Do you have the servo plugged in the correct direction\servo slot?

Thats whack! I'd get a refund and buy a 390. Great servo, direct drop in.

What brand is the 390 servo? I'd like to do some research on it, since people really like it.

There are two brands of 390 servos. The Bluebird 390 is one and it is fine to comment about it. The other is a brand that is banned on this forum so it can not be talked about. Using the "390" only certainly appears to be a common way of getting around the language filter so if you are talking about the Bluebird 390 I urge you to spell it out. Saying 390 alone makes it look like you are simply skirting the language filter which does not work here.

Ok, I didn't know the servo existed, so I just asked. I had no intention to bypass the filter. I already got a warning about the non-bluebird brand, so I know not to talk about that anymore.

Back on the Bluebird subject, is it the 396DMH that I came across? I thought it translated to over 200oz/in of torque, but apparently it's like 35oz/in. haha My Hitec has 48oz/in, so I guess I'll stay put.

The BB we are talking about is 390.
    It has 75in/oz of torque.

    Here is a torque converter:

Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

If your hitec is working fine don't bother with the BB you're not going to notice that big of an improvement. When and if it breaks then I would make the switch.

    Yup.
If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Ah, I'll definitely consider it in the future, but my Hitec has been very pleasing with the impacts it's involved in. haha
