You have to run the rear brakes with the CD. If your CD unloads the front you will have no brakes at all.

Yea I ordered the rear brake kit and the new style tranny housing but it takes 7-10 days for parts to get to me do I'm just going to drive with only front brakes till then.........it seems like this thing unloads wayyyy to much on concret I guess it shouldn't be as bad on the dirt.
Bad news I cannot get this thing to quit pushing in the corners i start on the inside and end up on the outside wall I have done the steering mod and I set my camber at like -15 and my front toe is at like -6* so idk what to try next could it be just my tires suck
Shouldn't you be next to the outside wall, before you enter the corner? (Correct me if I'm wrong) At least that should give you a little more room due to the less sharp curve?

Yes your right honestly it's probably my driving skill I'm still trying to learn how to get around the track and I think I'm just trying to do it to fast
Mail came in today![]()
Just won a tm523 carb on eBay for $9 can't wait to put this in the beast....
Track tomorrow I'll let y'all know how the truck handles![]()
Added 3oz of lead to the front hope this helps with corners![]()
The added weight help a ton it still pushed in the really sharp corner but overall it's controllable now
Alright guys I just sold my tmaxx so I can fund this some more here's the list so far
Tekno LCG battery box conversion and ofna 250cc tank
Tekno pro throttle linkage
Teflon coated GTR shocks
Red aluminum pushrods
Red aluminum toe links
P2 rockets
Red p2 spacers
And a set of proline calibers tires and some 1/2inch offset dish wheels
In another thread you asked about limiting "wheel drop". Eliminating the spacers on the pushrods will limit this extension. When you are assembling all these parts on your list, set up one front pushrod with the spacers, and one without, then check the difference. I tried all kinds of setups, in regard to the pushrods. I machined thicker and thinner spacers to try, etc.. In the end, I just eliminated them.
Believe 1/2 of what you see,and 0 of what you hear
Ok thanks...
Just scored 4 1/2" offset VTR wheels of eBay for 15 bucks
Heck yea I was stoked when I seen them there new also never even mounted
Got some parts today
Tenko/ofna fuel tank conversion
New Shocks and proline VTR 1/2" offset![]()
The ofna 250cc fuel tank is awesome I ran for prolly 20+minutes on 1 tank didn't start showing lean signs till about 1/4 or less and it seems to balance the motor well
Just remember how much extra weight all that fuel will add when you go to set your truck up for the track next time.

REVO DE
2009 ROAR REGION 2 MT POINT SERIES CHAMP
LOL... what an entrance
you know.. i never had a sig.. but i do now...
Hi everyone, I have been following your race thread and really enjoy reading what you are all doing to your Revo's. I have had my Revo since April of this year but have already modified it for the track. Here is a video of me driving around the track.
Ur racing looks good I have been neglecting my revo a little since I got my 8ight T 2.0![]()
Thanks. I'm new to the track so I still have alot to learn. Your Losi 8ight T looks good. I have that truck on my wishlist. It's hard to keep up with them when I go to the track.
Yea that's why I bought mine I was keeping up with the guys that were slower with their 8 ts with my revo but the faster guys were just gone lol this thing is a beast with its 454/ lrp z.28 and turns so much better then the revo. Are u using an offset wheel?
I am using the Traxxas Response Pro's that have the 1/2 offset but I am looking at trying some Proline Calibers on Zero Offset VTR wheels. I think that might give me better turning? I also did the Slayden steering modifications to increase the turning throw.

Man that track is amazing, where is it? lol. I would think that having zero offset wheels would help with turning since it is narrower and the weight isn't set so far out from the truck.

Yea that track is amazing mine is lame compared to thar
The track is out in Ontario California. Its about an hour from my house so I have only been out there 4 times since getting the truck. They are always changing the layout. All 4 times I have gone have never been the same. I just got some zeor offset wheels and tires off Ebay last night for $14.50 so I am really excited to try those out. The guy selling them said he ran them for one main less than 20 minutes and in the picture they look practically brand new. Proline Revolvers on VTR rims!
This is another video from the first time I went to the track. Sorry for the quality it was shot with my phone. I can see a big difference in handling and the way I went into and out of the corners compared to my latest trip to the track. I think the center differential, rear brakes and Buku clutch made a big difference. I like it alot better now. I also have the Traxxas sway bars and Proline HD wing for more rear downforce.

I removed my rear tekno sway bar for more exhaust clearance I haven had a chance to race it since then I only put them on for better cornering so I hope removing the rear didn't. Change it to much ...
Are u still running the stock carb?
Yeah having the sway bars made a big difference for me. The truck might push more in the corners without the back installed? I still am running the stock carb. The whole truck is basically stock except for the Traxxas upgrades and the Buku clutch. I am thinking of getting an ERCM pipe next to open up the 3.3's top end more. I hear they are great pipes but really pricey.
Honestly I would get the carb first it really won't need opening up until your letting more air in I have turned down 1 carb to work and I got it on eBay for $10 stock carbsl
RB carb this carb does fit but its tightand my favorite the RB tm 523 carb
which fits and works 100 times better then stock I think this was my best upgrade cause I get more run time and a lot less headache and tune time
I had seen your previous posts about the carb. It sounds like a great upgrade. I haven't come across any on Ebay but I might try one out.
Yea i got lucky with mine i win 2 tm523 carbs on ebay for $15 shipped
U can buy the losi 3.4 carb on losi web sight it's around $45 it has a 6.9mm opening instead of trx carb 5.9
Man that was a good deal on your part.
