    Overheating

If I have an ESC cooling fan and an aftermarket motor cooling fan, is there still a big risk of overheating the motor/ESC if I run the optional pinion gear that comes with the truck on the track?

I run an esc fan and a heatsink with custom fan on the motor with stock gearing. I can run an entire 5800mah 2s lipo pack through the truck with temps around 150-160 after about 35 min of hard running. 3s lipo is a different story... same setup I hit 180 and have to let it cool after less then 15 min.

Always check temps and let it rest regardless of fans. I just melted the epoxy out of 2 stock vxl motors because I changed my pinion and was running 3S. Temp gun is a must
