    Body Brace question...

i guess i could have stolen just about any one's pic but i was looking through the pic thread and used this member's pic...

my question is...where did he get those shock/body/watever brace from?...is it some sort of mod?...i'm thinking that brace over the shock like that looks awesome and should make that flimsy portion of the body a little stronger...

are there better body brace out there?...any of u guru's know?

A lot of guys just do the rear chassis brace mod, they use an old push rod for it. They use it to stop the body mount from bee ripped off...I don't there is a better one out there.

I used an adjustable turnbuckle from an old Stampede, but its been awhile ago... I think the stock rear turnbuckle will work. I ran screws through the bolt holes.

so both the front and the rear are the same length? and u have to drill out a screw hole? it seems in the pic above...this individual put some sort of square block on top of the shock mount...

    any link to this mod?

My spelling ...they use the stock push rod. I personally don't think its necessary to do the front, that's just my opinion thou.

THere isnt even a motor mount in the 3rd pic down. My trucks motor is NOT on a crooked angle like that and I dont have the motor brace. Im not sure the motor brace is really necessary. Ive been abusing the living crap out of my ERBE lately and have never had an issue with the motor flexing to the point it causes a problem .

Well here is mine & you don't need a brace on the front JMO. Give you general idea....Bad landings on the tail, I was beaking the body mounts way to much. I do recomend the rear brace & the motor mount mod. ust get a longer bolt & cut it down.
