I used 2 meccano strips and mounted them on the out and inside of the body. The one on the inside is longer and has 2 holes drilled up to the size of the body mounts. Works for months already.
Filled the holes up with some shoe goo.
    Nobody is born with experience.

It's not a big deal. Go to your local autozone etc and get a two part epoxy, but it MUST dry hard. Look in the body repair isle or if you know go to your local auto body paint store get 3m rigid plastic repair or sems problem plastic. Fit some flat plastic cut
Squares large enough to cover the holes from the bottom, bond them from bottom side. Once dry turn it right side up and fill the void from the top. Once it's dry re-drill your holes. I will tell you I own a body shop and these bonding agents can be costly from the paint store so check local auto parts store they all usually have these urethane or epoxy products. Good luck. If you have a problem MSG me.

I gave up on the body and went with a roll cage. It has been crashed over and over and over and over again and no issues. It is a little heavy and rides high (I had a lowered body) but I think I will fix that eventually by lowering it and removing some bracing. Also put on an Outerwear cover to keep the internals clean. Both options aren't cheap but I won't be replacing $30+ bodies every 2~3 months.

it was silicone and some peices I cut from an eraser package

just used some crap I had laying around, and it worked extremely well until my body cracked from repeated landings on the roof. (2 - 8 feet high drops (bad landings))

When you can you'd benefit from a new body. They tend to be thicker lexan and more durable. I have the Proline 50's Chevy and it's just so much tougher than the stock. My stock fell apart in the same places as yours.

i use velcro on my bodies now. I was sick of the body pin holes getting destroyed. Also makes it easy to lower/raise the body to desired height

Well, I think you've heard some solutions that will work. I put a combo rollbar, chassis stiffener, hanger for wires, etc. on mine that I made out of 1/2" aluminum strap that helps too.
I can't paste the pic though as I don't know how to do that. It attaches to both shock towers with screws and conforms to the shape of the body lengthwise and clears them. It limits the amount of deformation on impact when you crash lid side down.

Using the stock traxxas plastic washers will help keep the holes from enlarging. I also use a foam disc underneath the body between the lid and shock tower to cushion hard landings.

This is a problem all the stock Stampede bodies are plagued with... I had thought up a good permanent solution but it takes a bit of work.
Why can't other people share my opinions?

My stock body looked the same as your first pick you posted 1 hour after taking it home from the hobby shop Shoe goo and dry wall tape is where its at. You can see in my pic that the inside of my body is black its not paint its actually 4 coats of spry on bed liner that dose not work by the way. I have about 2 layers of dry wall tape and shoe goo and 1 layer of duct tape and shoe goo in the back total of 3 layers only 2 in the front and I haven't had a pin come threw yet just don't put to many coats on you wanna make sure you can put your pins threw the pin holes and I launch my pede up a 14 ft high quarter pipe and smash down on concrete when I don't land right at the local skate park.
