TQi Powerup, worth it?

I have been looking at the TQi radio, for the price, it has some very cool features. But I have been hearing a number of complaints about the radios going dead. I have the TQ2.4 that works great, I was thinking about doing the Power-Up thing, basically it saves about $35.

How many people have taken Traxxas up on this trade in program?

How many have had problems with the radio?

Just sent back mine, called Traxxas CS, they need the XR for flashing, I still have another one which I'm using and works great, but I need 4channels due to I have a summit, so that I can use it on my all RC's. I hope this have a power up program "TQi with docking base 2 channel to 4channel power up.

i purchased the TQi setup and use it on my rustler VXL. I took the 2.4 link and put it in my nitro as opposed to trading it back in. I have no issues with the TQi and enjoy the following features

1) managing the ESC unit from the iphone app is a nice feature, sure beats pressing the menu and set buttons it the appropriate order
2) telemetry features
3) firmware upgrades for the transmitter and receiver

Hoping they continue with new features in the future.

power up doesnt seem worth it. For $100 and your old system you get a new tqi. but for $120 you can get a new tqi and keep your old system

not sure where you are purchasing from, but I got my TQi transmitter, dock and receiving as a package from my LHS for like $75

i picked up the 3 channel for $70 on ebay, will be here on tuesday
